Nestled on a lush, rainforest-covered hilltop overlooking the tranquil Kalang River, this intimate retreat offers the ultimate escape. It features three contemporary, art-filled, semi-detached guest suites, each designed to immerse guests in comfort and natural beauty.

Each suite boasts stunning forest and river views, a thoughtfully designed interior, and a seamless indoor-outdoor living flow. Guests can unwind in their private cedar hot tub, enjoy the warmth of the fireplace, relax in a comfortable lounging space, or dine in the undercover outdoor area with a fully equipped kitchenette. It’s an ideal blend of seclusion and comfort.

The hillside platform offers the perfect pairing of a steamy cedar sauna and a refreshing cedar cold tub, while across the lawn the sparkling pool invites utter relaxation. Guests can gather around the fire pit, enjoy a BBQ, or watch the sunset from the gazebo, all overlooking the Kalang River and deep green paddocks below. For more profound rejuvenation, we offer in-house massages and space for restorative meditation sessions in our tranquil booth positioned under the shade of a grand old camphor laurel tree. The lush surroundings provide the perfect setting for nature walks, fishing, and peaceful picnics, offering a reinvigorating atmosphere for wellness-focused getaways.

- Supporting local & ethical sourcing: We collaborate with artists, artisans, and tradespeople from the Bellingen community, ensuring that the materials and craftsmanship behind our spaces are locally rooted. We use reclaimed or sustainably sourced Australian timber wherever possible, preserving natural resources while maintaining authenticity.

- Harnessing renewable energy: Our property is primarily powered by a robust solar and battery system, reducing reliance on external energy sources. This renewable setup allows us to operate efficiently while minimising our carbon footprint.

- Water conservation & self-sufficiency: We collect, store, and filter our rainwater, ensuring a clean and sustainable water supply for the retreat. Additionally, we compost organic waste and manage our wastewater treatment system, maintaining a closed-loop approach to resource use.

- Sustainable heating & fire management: We responsibly harvest firewood from the property during the cooler months to supplement heating needs. Our commitment to bushfire resilience is achieved through thoughtful land management practices that protect the retreat and the surrounding forest without compromising its natural beauty.

Sunny Corner Pastures is evolving into a productive Tiny Farm, where we cultivate fresh, organic produce to nourish our guests and extended family. As we grow, we aim to create a regenerative ecosystem that enhances biodiversity while providing homegrown, sustainable food.
